Posted by: Dandu on 2016-11-11 02:41:51 Hi,
Since many years, i read this forum. Today, i try to share my finds.
This week, i have found a ZIP 100 SCSI (not a Plus), a StyleWriter 2400 to use with my Apple Bandai Pippin, many (many) RAM SIMM and DIMM, an ExpressCard SSD (48 GB, for old MacBook Pro), a Centris 660/AV with CD-ROM (a caddy).
I have received too a WGS 9150, but the logic board was dead, thank's to the battery. But the CD-ROM, the DAT and the hard drive (4 SCSI model) works. And the 512 K cache, for my 6100 (not tried yet).
When i found time, i will share my specific machine, i have a PowerBop (frenc PowerBook 180 with wireless module), a Intel Dev' Kit and a Xbox 360 Dev' Kit (a Power Mac G5), but without the soft.

Posted by: Carboy7 on 2016-11-12 11:11:47 Forgive me for asking... But what exactly is the Xbox 360 dev kit?
|

Posted by: Dandu on 2016-11-24 09:57:38 Today, i have found many things.
A PowerBook 100 and a Mac Classic recapped by bibilit
A PowerBook G4 (the first model)
And many SCSI things (hard drive, CD-ROM, connector) and RAM (many EDO)

Next step : test the RAM.

Posted by: galgot on 2016-11-24 14:20:10 Nice 🙂
What kind of Powerbook G4 ? A Titanium or an early alu powerbook?
Yeah , Louis our expert for recap , he recaped my PB 100 too, top job.

Posted by: Carboy7 on 2016-11-24 16:45:10 Dandu said it was the first model, so I assume he meant the TiBook.
And nice PowerBook 100!
|
Posted by: Huxley on 2016-11-28 14:51:10 Ahh the TiBook - that was the first Mac model I ever bought "new" (though mine was a refurb purchased from Apple's educational store). Mine was a 500MHz model, and I used the hell out of it for years until it was eventually replaced by a 17" MacBook Pro. The TiBook design still has a really strong "wow" factor to me - the futuristic look, the exotic materials, the "supercomputer in your backpack" vibe... Just an amazing machine. Congrats on finding one!
|
Posted by: Dandu on 2016-11-29 10:08:26 It's a TiBook 400. I have another one on my collection, but the FireWire chip is dead, and it's a pain to boot Mac OS 9 (i must delete the FireWire extension...)
And i'm waiting for a wireless gamepad for Pippin !
|
Posted by: Carboy7 on 2016-11-29 14:36:42 Wireless Pippin controller? Awesome!!!
|
Posted by: Dandu on 2016-12-03 06:42:15 Today : a new battery for my LC III and a 256k VRAM SIMM (and a 32 MB RAM SIMM from my stock)

Now, he has a FPU, an Ethernet card, 36 MB RAM and 768 KB video RAM.

Posted by: bibilit on 2016-12-03 07:23:34 Hi Pierre,
Congrats, the LC III is a nice little machine, you have it full loaded now.

Posted by: Dandu on 2016-12-11 08:20:09 This week, i have buy a PowerBook 1400, without information (just, it works).
And good suprise : there is a G3 333 inside the Mac, and 48 MB RAM. And a HP deskjet 340 with the serial cable (not tested yet).
|
Posted by: galgot on 2016-12-19 01:05:07 I'm jaleous...
I have a 233 G3 in mine, but paid some $$ for it...
Congrat 🙂

Posted by: Dandu on 2016-12-27 05:47:52 Received today : a wireless (infrared) gamepad for my Pippin and two games.

|
Posted by: Dandu on 2017-02-23 08:04:35 Many things, but a specific graphic card : a GXT2000P GPU from a RS/6000 IBM workstation (a machine with OpenFirmware).
And... the card works in a Power Mac G3. But there is no driver : Mac OS 9 see a display card, but i have only the white screen boot from the OpenFirmware.
