Two LC475s: one boots a SCSI drive and the other doesn’t.

I’ve got two LC 475s. One has a recapped PSU and logic board. The other has no maintenance at all. I booted it and the 2.1GB quantum fireball in it spring to life and took me to System 7.

I out the same drive in the fully recapped 475 and I get the flashing ? At boot. I’m not sure where to go from here.

Either the recap wasn't done as well as maybe it could have been, or could be scsi chip differences, ie I'd look at termination for the one that doesn't work. (Does it do that for all drives, even external ones, or just that quantum, etc).

Be sure you have zapped the pram on the flashing one.

+1 on termination, 475 are very sensitive to it. If I attach anything to mine on the internal bus without termination, it won’t see it.

If it’s not that, do you have any other SCSI devices you can use for testing? Like a BlueSCSI.
