| [SE/30] Is 16MB RAM in 24-bit mode as compatible as 8MB? |

I want to make my SE/30 as compatible with older software as I can using 24-bit addressing mode in System 7.1.1. However, I have 16MB RAM installed instead of 8MB. Can this cause further compatibility issues with older stuff, despite still running in 24-bit addressing mode and only having 8MB available to the OS?
I can't get 8x 1MB RAM sticks to work at the moment (maybe bad RAM or the fact that the board needs a recap), so I use 4x4MB. I don't really feel the need for more than 8MB. |

My understanding is that 24-bit mode won't break anything, you just won't see anymore than 8MB, it makes it so the CPU can't see/address more than that no matter how much is installed. |

Yes I know, but wondering if having more than 8MB RAM in 24-bit addressing mode has any compatibility side-effects other than not being able to address more than 8MB. |
