| Flat ribbon cable for powerbook 160 (Interconnect) |
Posted by: ther3d0ne on 2026-06-18 13:30:54 Hello,
I would like to replace the interconnect ribbon cable between the daughterboard and the logic board in my PowerBook 160, but I don't know what ribbon cable pitch I should use.
The repair method I would like to follow is described in this post: https://68kmla.org/bb/threads/how-to-repair-a-powerbook-140-180-interconnect-cable.46387/

Does anyone know the specifications of the original ribbon cable, particularly the pitch and thickness? Any link to buy it from ?
Thank you. |

Try this, it's an 80 pin cable but you can peel off 8 to get 72. It is stranded which is what you want.

Posted by: luRaichu on 2026-06-18 16:05:38 I did too. In my case I left it attached by one clip. I don't know what to tell you if you've broken both. |
