| SWIM Chip Version |
Posted by: franklyn on 2026-05-08 01:26:26 I have a SWIM chip from a IIcx motherboard and an oxidized one from a PPC7100 motherboard. How many different versions are there? Are they interchangeable, or is the pinout—for example—different?
I’m asking because I would like to have a Macintosh II with an 020 CPU for upgrade purposes... |

Posted by: franklyn on 2026-05-08 10:34:28 ... so there are
SWIM1 = 344SO061-A
SWIM2 = ?
SWIM3 = 343SO137-A |

But yes, 344S0061 is SWIM1 and 343S0137 is the somewhat rare discrete SWIM III (it's built into the system ASIC on almost everything that used it). |
