I have the Why Cable from JCM-1, because the actual cable is stupid expensive and hard to find.
I'd like to have a short flexy extension cable for the DB-19 connector to the LC card, so there's less stress on the card/connector. I do the same with a DB-15 for the monitor connection hooked up to the Mac Syncinator / VGA Lite.
Anyone know of a place to get one? I found a IDC20 -> DB19 and a female connector that presumably I could use to hack it if I know the pinout, but they're out of stock.
I might just have to hack one together, but I'm hoping someone knows of an existing solution. This might do, but it's a bit fugly, and I might remove the wires from the housing. | Posted by: iantm on 2026-05-03 08:41:41
Okay having now read about BMOW's relinquishment of his DB-19 lot, I see now the best way is to make one myself, either from actual DB19 connectors or appropriating a db-25. Time to learn how! | Posted by: sfiera on 2026-05-04 02:01:00
If you’re talking about extending the connection between the card and the Y-cable, aren’t you looking for a DA-26 connector instead? That’s a standard size. | | 1 |
