Posted by: Scott Squires on 2016-10-24 14:40:22 Alright, which one of you snapped up this auction? I wish I had seen it at the time, I would have been all over this. It would be awesome if this info was digitized and made available. Sadly it will probably stay locked up in some private collection.

Posted by: techknight on 2016-10-24 14:56:12 There is a thread on this already, and its none of us. Likely we will never see it again.
If it was made available, it would lose its value fast. Chances are, a "true" collector picked this one up. Sadly.

Posted by: Scott Squires on 2016-10-24 15:12:07 I searched, but couldn't find an existing thread. The search doesn't seem to work very well though.

So many one-of-a-kind things pass through ebay. And so many are lost because people with the interest and knowledge didn't happen to search for the right keywords at the right time.

Posted by: Juror22 on 2016-10-24 16:44:35 Yeah, the seller hasn't responded to anyone's inquiries, according to the posts here, including mine. I had sent a note asking, among other things, about the possibility of seeing other docs come up for auction, but never got a response.
I found his linkIn page, but that doesn't help us find the current owner of that trove. I just hope that sometime in the next year or two, some somewhat altruistic individual offers to sell a modern grayscale solution, based on the information that got away.
