Performa 410 68020?

Posted by: Fizzbinn on 2026-02-23 20:48:02 I was looking at some docs I got that originally came with a Performa 475, they covered the "Macintosh Performa 400 Series" that existed in the later half of 1993 (410, 460, 466, 467, 475 and 476) and I noticed that the "Technical Information" booklet says the Performa 410 has a "MC68020" processor... That's gotta be a typo right? The original Performa 400 is a rebadged LC II with a 68030, and other Performa 4xx machines with numbers below 450 are too right? ...or did they clear out some old CPU inventory with the 410 specifically?

Posted by: volvo242gt on 2026-02-24 02:35:31 Yeah, it's a typo. The 410 was essentially another variant of the LC II. Supposedly was the Performa 400 variant, but with a 12" monitor bundled with it. The 430 was a 405 with a 127MB Quantum drive instead of the 80MB Quantum supplied with the other machines.
