Universal Stand with AppleColor High-Resolution RGB Monitor
Posted by: campbellashe on 2026-01-25 19:13:15
I have the fortune of having an Apple branded 13 inch monitor and stand. Yet, I'm wondering if I'm using the stand correctly? It seems to fit okay but the insert needs to be in the forward position to fit the round hole at the bottom of the monitor? Is the monitor supposed to have the bare metal hole or is a piece missing?

Anyone else have such a stand and monitor to validate that this is the right combination?
I have seen other posts about this stand in the forum but I don't think they needed to have the insert in the same position as below for it to fit.

Thanks

Can the insert be removed? What does the base look like without it?

You have to flip this removable piece around. it is a line also there where the monitor legs fitSTAND.jpg.

You mean the front legs fit in the groove of the insert?
Doesn't that mean the star shape of the insert does not go into the round hole at the bottom of the monitor?

What does the other side of the insert look like? Can it be flipped upside down?

Duh. You are correct; I flipped it over and had to get the feet on the right side of the tabs at the back. Fits great.

Here is the proper position picture and the monitor sitting true.

Thanks....

There is normally a cover there.

Ah... here is the picture from the service manual showing the cover; I don't have it....
