I have a Mac 128k that I am working on but I am not finding the error code. It boots up to sad Mac 040480. I cant find that error anywhere. Can someone help?

I replaced the RAM at G12 and now I get the error 020080. Any idea what that means?

It points to a RAM failure, like one or more of the 16 X 4164 RAM ICs have failed. Very common - ideally you want to replace the lot with sockets and replacement chips.

020080 is F12

0404xx should have been G7

Try piggybacking chips, works most of the Time.

I replaced G7 and F12 with known good RAM and sockets. Still same error.

UPDATE: I resoldered the socket and it fixed it. Issue resolved.
