a lot of boxes with goodies..
Powerbook Duo 230 ( vinegar display), working Powerbook Duo 270c, working Powerbook Duo 2300, all with power adapters, two micro Duo Docks with floppy disk drives and cables, data switches, a Duo Dock (7779) not sure which one this is of the three, but I think I can use all Duos in them
an Apple CD 600e drive, an adjustable Apple Keyboard ( funny design) and three big cartridges full of floppies.
I didnt start the Duo230 because it has vinegar syndrome..I notices some slight edges on the display of the 2300c ( otherwise working), I hope this is not the first stage of vinegar syndrome (I'll separate the 230 away for now). also the brightness knobs dont respond, need recap for sure..all of this.
now, first I'll start with cleaning off the old dna..then inspecting the Duos further

deutschland detected guilty of charge | Posted by: 3lectr1cPPC on 2026-01-20 06:58:30 2300c definitely has vinegar syndrome too, unfortunately. Nice haul though, that should all clean up nicely! | Posted by: jmacz on 2026-01-20 23:43:46 Congrats! Lots of fun projects there. | Posted by: Unknown_K on 2026-01-21 00:04:56 Nice. It's been a long time since I have had a massive computer haul like in the good old days, just some things here and there. | Posted by: Byrd on 2026-01-21 00:55:18 The couple really liked their Duos - really decent haul.
You can fire up a vinegar syndrome LCD to see specs of the Mac etc - I'm coming across more now and at times the display can be remarkably visible. Others though it's a wash out. | Posted by: MacUp72 on 2026-01-21 08:35:35 at the moment I'm at the 270c, really lovely 68k Mac, I like it even more than my 190c, the 270c apparently was the only one of the 68k Duos that has an internal 68882 FPU in it..yesterday I fired up the Duo Dock, its working, too..kinda enerving to cable it all up with other bulky SCSI decives with their own power bricks just to get a SCSI connection. Apple could just added a HDI30 to the micro docks.
Thats the only disadvantage so far, there's only one superrare Newer Tech Duo micro dock with SCSI..

the Duo 230 is also alive but the drive is dead ( might investigate further) also the vinegared display..but I dont need it anyway..made 20 disks for a clean floppy 7.6 install for the 270c and enjoyed that ancient memories, crisp am color display.
it also had a strange problem, as soon as I inserted the old battery while running, it shut off. straightened and cleaned the connector pins a bit, et voilá, problem solved.
man, that Duo keyboards, the shame of 90s industrial design..glady the return and enter keys work.
lol..insane in the membrane

Right, theres life in it, will try to reinitialize the hdd ..
