The CD-ROM door on this machine started sticking and not wanting to open. Anyone have that happen? Wondering if the tray is just hanging up on the facia.

Yeah, in messing with it, it just seems that somehow the tray is not matching up with the hole. Will see how I can adjust it when I can open things up.

Ok so yeah that is tweaked. Will need to disassemble further and see if I cam straighten ot out. IMG_8121.jpeg

Some other shots of the insides just because.

You might have this sorted already, but it is either broken plastics or (more likely) it is just inserted wrong into the attachment guide (plastic frame, under the CD), You should be able to just push gently upward on the middle tab that is protruding slightly under the CD and pull the CD assembly out (not too much because the cables will still be connected in the rear of the CD). Then check the plastics and if nothing is broken, just align it correctly (so it is horizontal, instead of at an angle) and re-insert the CD.

Ok, sorted and working again for now. Definitely broken plastic bits, I slid the drive out a bit and repositioned. Put it together as is and got things back together and it works for now. A little tricky getting the 3D printed power button to line up right but that seems to be ok for now too. tempImagePveP3m.pngtempImageGZ1Jza.pngtempImagehvKapX.pngtempImageEbkiwv.png
