games that were released with "unrealized coding" left hidden in it?

seeing this topic here
made me think a bit about that for a while before deciding to ask that topic question here..
any games that had something obvious in its ux and/or engine code that could-had-been but was never actually utilized in any way?

mind you this is for windows not macos but I remember somewhere in the late 2000's finding out about that the 'hover!' game for windows 95 was supposed to have a level editor but the only thing that remained was the hidden(not displayed) 'editor' physical button for the main screen's gui

very nice website, too easy to lose your entire day in there I imagine!

but anyhow I skimmed through the macos list picking out just a few familiar common titles I knew of as well and eventually narrowed it down to these four to share just for humours;

interesting to note that the civilization game was supposed to be a little bit more extensive than what it actually was published(released) as
