(the Palm III was probably not sold anymore by then) Is running palm Os V 3.5.2 Not missing any feature the Palm III had, but has an additional one... Any other idea ??

I spent about an hour doing that when I saved a USB barcode reader from the garbage a few months ago. (The USB one acts like a keyboard, so all you need to do is find a web UPC code database and scan away. It can be sort of amusing discovering things like the same UPC code is used on different package variations of the product... sometimes radically different.)

I think, most of the time those are returned to supplier, or discarded. This was advertised simply as Palm, and free...
