| Working Mini-DIN to standard serial cable? |
Before I go buy the parts and make one, has anyone bought a working Mini-DIN to standard serial cable (preferably DB9) recently?
You can, surprisingly, still buy cables, but the reviews online warn about missing wires so I am dubious.

If it isn't urgent, I will test what I have for Mini-DIN serial cables as I get my 7600 and G3 fired up again in the next few weeks. I probably have extras.

For ones I've made, I get a minidin 9 to minidin 9, lop it and half and solder the appropriate pins to a DE9 connector.
You can petty easily determine pinout of the cut up cable with a meter.

I had a similar need recently for a quicktake. I ended up taking a chinese USB (FTDI) to Cisco console cable and putting a mini din 8 end on it.

A 3D printed TPU cover with strain relief was required as the console cable is too wide for the one from the kit.

Thanks folks, I went ahead and built my own. This cable has all the wires and a bare end which is pretty handy! The colors are also correct to spec, at least mine was.
