Hi,
Having problem with Classic II I bought a few months ago, after washing the motherboard it started to work just fine, but the caps were really weak, hardly providing any sound. Recapped the analogue board with success (no screen vibration) and then did the same to motherboard it with SMD ones, but sadly it never booted up after this job. It gives me vertical bars.
While doing some corrections to the caps soldering ( not tightly fixed in place ) two pads were lifted, but eventually were fixed by repair shop by doing some trace rerouting. According to them caps are ok, but were cluless about general failure. Even suggested some memory problem, they couldnt diagnose, but they do not have experience with Macs :-/

Do you have any idea what should I do next? Give it to a pro to recap it again?

if it worked before, and not now, something was screwed up in the recapping process. I see this all too often.
