| Computer from ''The Net'' |
Posted by: flashedbios2012 on 2016-10-10 15:55:14 I'm looking for the tower computer that Angela Bennett used in The Net in her home before it was emptied out. I think its a Quadra 840AV. Also looking for that keyboard with the split design. Ideas?

As for the sound? I've heard the Rodime 20 MB hard drive seek sound and the 400k Single-sided floppy drive seek sound in movies and TV shows as recently as just a couple years ago - for modern computers! Sound effects in movies are almost never "recorded live on set" - almost every single one is recorded after-the-fact in a sound studio (a process known as Foley,) and the sounds are quite often not at all what you think they are. In this case, it is extremely likely that they used a floppy-insert sound from an older Mac because it's what the Foley artist had available.

Also in the beginning when angela is chatting online the computer reads the text of the chat.
Also she can order a pizza online--- in 1994?

Posted by: Anonymous Freak on 2016-10-13 18:57:35 There was one Dominoes location (or was it a Pizza Hut?) that had a website for ordering around then. I'd be willing to bet the ordering online in the movie was a paid placement.
Edit: Looks like it was Pizza Hut.
