2MB is not much, but maybe better than leaving them there.
I can't find a PCB GitHub project for this scenario
(Yes, I'll remove the CPU)
| Posted by: finkmac on 2025-09-22 06:10:07 you could, but you'd probably be spending more money doing so than just buying a 2mb simm | Posted by: croissantking on 2025-09-22 06:38:42 It’s 4MB onboard.
@Bolle made the Reloaded PCB for the LC475, but your ASIC at U3 looks too far gone to save. | Posted by: ironborn65 on 2025-09-22 07:18:12 @finkmac. Got it. Still, I think we’re not usually driven by rational decisions or economic logic.
If saving money were the goal, we wouldn’t be buying rusty old junk—we’re driven by passion 😉 | Posted by: pizzigri on 2025-09-22 11:06:27 try to salvage all the chips lined up near the connectors, those include proprietary chips that are useful to restore other 475 LB… Cuda, audio chip, NCR SCSI, etc. also, the inductors. | | 1 |
