| SE/30 Rear Panel w/VGA & SD Slot |
Posted by: KI5NYZ on 2025-09-12 20:09:58 Does anyone know of a .stl or pre-made expansion panel that has slots for both VGA and SD card? I have one for my bluescsi v2 to mount it to the bay, but it does not fit with both of the PDS cards mounted. The bracket cannot be modified since the physical bluescsi would also be in the way.
I plan to hot glue this one into the plate I have, that already has a VGA slot in it: https://www.adafruit.com/product/3687 |

It requires some screw in stand-offs (forget the mm height), but it allows you to run a VGA connector next a bluescsi v2. It does extend some and may require some sanding to get all things to fit. Feel free to tweak and adjust as needed. I printed mine in PETG to make sure it's somewhat stronger.

It eliminates the potential I/O errors of SD card extension as well!!
Thank you! |

View attachment 91016 Installed the print and only had to modify the VGA shroud by removing some plastic material and make space for the BlueSCSI. Good clearance from the PDS cards, and also doesn't obstruct the HDD/LED header. Overall a good design and was exactly what I needed. |
Posted by: kaltree on 2025-10-04 15:50:01 Glad to hear it worked for you! I had been using the design in my SE/30 with ZigZagJoe's greyscale kit. I struggled to get a good VGA plug template back when I hacked this together from other designs. Totally could be improved upon. Someday I'll actually learn a tool like Onshape... 🙂 |
