| Um, what cable is this? |
Posted by: TimHD on 2025-09-06 16:14:49 Any ideas what this might be for. Was thinking an Apple Monitor ie a monochrome display (as it has those pins on the 13w3 displays) but usually those cables have the Monitor icons on them, not the Apple icons, so possibly not… |
Posted by: Iesca on 2025-09-06 16:36:13 How strange. Can't seem to find anything. Not related to the DB13W3 it seems, but searches for "Apple dsub coax high frequency" and similar turns up nothing for me... |

Posted by: pl212 on 2025-09-06 18:39:07 Yep! Like 1/3rd of a 13W3 as it’s only mono. 🙂 |
Posted by: chelseayr on 2025-09-07 04:16:37 yeah that figures when you realize that the three thick pins (or "stubs"?) are for colours so omit extras and you have a cable that basically is black-or-white choice of colour all alone or in this case black-or-green |

Yep! Like 1/3rd of a 13W3 as it’s only mono. 🙂 Looks like it per this listing (albeit the earlier cable has Apple, not Monitor icons on the plugs…)

Posted by: killvore on 2025-09-07 06:07:49 Yep that's for the Portrait Display connecting to the Portrait Display NuBus card - there is also a version that has a DA-15 connector in one end. It's a bit more flexible and easier to deal with than the tripple coax version! |

|
Posted by: killvore on 2025-09-07 09:27:20 @MBongo I think this one is intended for the dual page display, but it will definitely work with the Portrait Display. I have one exactly like this and have used it with my Portrait Display, just means there's two extra coaxes on the left there that don't connect to anything on the Portrait Display. |
