Macintosh ROM burning - EU

Hello. Do any here burn ROMs for 128/512k Macintosh? In Europe? Thanks

I've never tried burning 128/512 ROMs, but I believe I have a full kit (including the right spare chips) to do this. I can test with my Mac Plus before saying I am sure it will work. I am in the UK, so shipping shouldn't be prohibitive. You can DM me if you like 🙂

I have checked and yes, I have all the equipment and correct chips to make this work, and I have tested it with my Plus and it does work. As above do let me know if you would like me to program some chips for you.

You can buy the Relatively Universal ROM Programmer for about $10

i just use a tl866. really, a rom reader/programmer is a must-have piece of equipment for this hobby... just like a decent soldering iron and long torx bit is.

TL866+ is what I’ve got. And a handful of 27C512s. I didn’t get any of it for this specifically but I agree it’s an excellent piece of hardware. The price can be off putting if you only want to use it once or twice, but in the long term of course it’s well worth the money.

Can you burn a 5V NOR flash chip and if needed remap any pins? RS only has PLCCs...

But Farnell has DIPs:

You can program these with an AVR-based Arduino.
