Another SE/30, another boot issue

I have a friend's SE/30 at home, no booting, no chime with a simasimac pattern:

No big deal, caps were original ones, replaced all of them, but didn't worked.

after looking a couple of things, pressed down the reset button and it booted right away:

the SE/30 is working great once this has been done, but if it's turned down it will go back to the former state of no chime, no boot.

It will boot each and every time with the reset trick.

Any idea ?

yea you need to check the traces and voltage supply to the SONY chips. one of the two SONY chips are responsible for RESET management.

Thanks, yes looking at the schematics yesterday evening and came to the same conclusion, UB11 IIRC.

Solved.

Cleaning UB11 pads (and UB10 as well) got me a fully working unit (traces and voltages were ok otherwise)

Yay! I figured it had something to do with that area, just not sure what.
