VGA to DVI to ADC
Posted by: lem150 on 2025-05-27 05:36:42
Hi, I would like to use my ADC LCD 17 inch display with a VGA Macintosh. I have the ADC to DVI adapter but I am not sure what to use (if it exists) to go from VGA to DVI? I know VGA is analog and DVI can be both? I did buy a VGA to HDMI adapter on Amazon that works, but when I use a HDMI to DVI adapter and then try the ADC to DVI adapter the power button on the LCD blinks. Anyone have any success with this? I was looking at buying one of these, but I don't want to commit if it won't work.

I wish! It is a Duo Dock with only Nubus slots. Was there a Nubus video card that supported DVI or a digital video signal?

ahh i see. in that case, i would recommend reconsidering this project. grab a cheap dell monitor, it'll work much better.

alternatively, use an extron rgb dvi scaler.

So I did take apart a 17inch VGA monitor and put the panel in to my ADC lcd, but the quality is not as good, it was just a cheap amazon LCD.
