| Twentieth Anniversary Mac - Bose AMP Board - Recap List |
Posted by: daanvdl on 2025-05-09 07:19:27 Hi everyone,
I recently recapped the Bose Amplifier Board (inside the subwoofer) of my Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh (TAM), and I wanted to share the capacitor list in case it helps others working on the same project. I've attached an image showing both the capacitor locations on the PCB and a complete parts list with specs.
Hopefully, this makes the job a bit easier for fellow TAM owners. Feel free to share any feedback or additions!
Good luck with your restoration!

- Molex 171813-1012 – KK 396 Series, 12-pin, gold-plated male header
- Molex 171813-0003 – KK 396 Series, 3-pin, gold-plated male header
Both are part of the KK 396 family (3.96 mm pitch) and ensure reliable, long-term connectivity. |

Posted by: mac27 on 2025-05-10 16:54:34 Thanks for sharing this. Having the list of parts available is great. I had mine done about a year ago and have been enjoying the fruits of a buzz-free TAM ever since. None of the caps anywhere seemed problematic or marginal, but also did a full recap of the entire system. |
