| Developping a new After Dark 3 screen saver, the "Screen Shaver" based on Japhy's idea and art |

Concept and art by Japhy Riddle
C programming from me, Mu0n aka 1bitfeverdreams aka Michael Juneau
Very elegant concept where a razor will "shave" on a new classic b&w pattern on screen until it's filled, then it starts over again. Once I learned and saw Japhy's mock up animation of it, I had to take a stab at it, since I knew of the existence of an After Dark 3.0 SDK for several compilers, including the one I use exclusively, THINK C.
It still has bugs and refuses to run on my real SE/30 for now for some reason, but I'll keep at it before releasing to the public.

If you want to see it in action from a live stream while it's running in Basilisk II, System 7.5.3, in 1024x768, click here: https://youtube.com/live/07Dhl8O-z5E?feature=share |

I like how you uploaded a really short video to demonstrate. Everybody else tends to stretch things out to 20 minutes.
You should make the shaver miss spots once in a while and need to go back at the end. |

You should make the shaver miss spots once in a while and need to go back at the end. That's an awesome idea. Also maybe occasionally cuts itself? 😅 |

That's an awesome idea. Also maybe occasionally cuts itself? 😅 The "cuts" could be painting a strip of the previous pattern underneath... although this would make the project significantly more complex, as it would need to keep track of the previous pattern as well as the current one. |
