So, I hope this type of request is allowed here. Apologies in advance if it's not. I'm wondering if anyone has dumped/can dump the rom from their Newton 2100? I wanted to try and test some things out with Einstein that appear to be bugging out with the Newton 2000 rom file.
Interesting that they're not actually the same file (I checked with md5) despite both being version 717006. I always thought that the 2100 was just a 2000 with more RAM but clearly there were some other differences too.
Anyway hopefully this helps π

Ah, yeah. Thanks π I've been using that rom. The main thing is I've been trying to run the Newton demo thing for the 2100 and it keeps erroring out. Thought maybe it had something to do with the rom. That's why I was wondering if someone could dump the rom from their own 2100. Just to see if it was the rom that was the issue or if it's just an issue with Einstein. Hope that makes sense π€£

The eMate 300 was version 717006 too. And and it was different yet again.
Here's the MD5s for the "official" dumped ones (as listed in the above link):
maybe OT, but I see the system text strings embedded in the ROM. I always wanted to make a localized ROM in Italian, I wonder if I should simply edit these strings letter by letter, or is there some disassembled ROM to make it easier.

Thatβs a bit beyond my scope of expertise.
Someone that might be able to answer that Matthias Melcher.
