Never seen it before. Here it is 🙂 (Found it on FB Mac group, somebody is selling it from Greece)

All they did was remove the "II" from a LC II case.

Or maybe it's a case of selling a particular model for a longer period of time in another country? I know they did that with the LC II in some markets (I think Australia?) where the LC II got placed in the 475-style case.

These are quite common actually. Here's another one from France.

The change happened after System 7 (7.1?) came out because you can boot System 6 on an LC on a floppy and think nothing of it. But Boot System 7 from a floppy and you will be pulling your hairs out! I got 5 LC’s, 3 are Dual Floppy but 1 is actually has dual floppy drives, the other two have a hard drive and a plastic cover over the hole. The other two are like these – the hole is filled in like the LC II. They must have switched when they were making the LC II cases and decided that it would be easier to use the LC II Case for both machines than to make a separate LC cases with the slot cover and the LC II cases with the hole filled in.

The change definitely happened very late in the cycle. I have an LC with manufacture date of November 1991 and it still has the slot cover. (This LC also shipped with System 6.0.8 despite being purchased in March 1992).

What are the serial numbers on everyone's floppy slot-less LC IIs?

What do the internals look like of the LC without the slot? Same as an LC or LCII? All my LCII's and later have a different fan carrier and it is in a slightly different position. I can swap parts around from all my pizza box models except the original LC. I don't think we ever got an LCII's with the manual inject drive case (the one with the little mouth at the floppy drive and no line across the centre of the facia) in Australia but we certainly got LCIII's and LC475's with it. Then again we also go LCIII's and LC475's with the auto inject fascia with the line also.
