| PowerBook 170 PRAM battery question. |
Posted by: SpaceFlightOrange on 2025-02-04 13:07:37 Hi.
Just popped the PRAM battery out of my PowerBook 170 and was planning on replacing it with a 2032. I have the gear to make one I can solder in, but I was wondering if anyone has ever used a holder instead? it adds a bit of height so I'm not sure, but thought I'd ask here before I have a go and find out the hard way.
Thanks

cr2032s are absolutely not rechargeable. generally attempting to sub a non-rechargeable battery in a charging circuit will cause bad things to happen. |

I put one into my PB160 and it works great. Also put them into my 540c and it works well there too. |

I just assumed it wasn’t rechargeable
Dodged that bullet!
I’ll just pick up another one of these then. |
