Stuffit archive missing files
Posted by: skyhawk3355 on 2024-12-23 17:09:29
Hi All,
I've downloaded Appleshare Server 3.x from Mac Garden and Mac Repository, moved the file over with the Bluescsi file transfer, and when I unarchive it I'm missing any executables or actual program files.
Am I missing something with uncompressing? Using Stuffit Expander 5.5 on OS 7.5
Thanks for your help

Looks like that is for the Apple IIe, per the description. What are you trying to accomplish, exactly?

The AppleShare 3 printer and file servers appear in folders after extraction. The archive is working fine and I have installed on System 7.1 without issue.

Hm very interesting. What are you using to unarchive the file? I'm using stuffit expander 5.5 and it's unarchiving hqx and sit automatically (albeit wrongly unarchiving).
The only folder that shows up is the Apple II Setup folder.

I used StuffIt Destinations.app in macOS Monterey.

Okay - I was able to unpack it correctly on mini vmac. I copied the files to a blank dsk image, threw it on the emu, and was able to copy and launch the programs. Very strange.
Thanks for the help, all.
