Posted by: xeiter on 2024-12-23 14:00:11
Where does one buy VRAM chips for G3 these days? I found one on Aliexpress but seller has not sent after a month of wait and I will probably be getting an automatic refund soon.

This is what mine has and I need to purchase a few:

what specific computer is having issues and do you have a picture of the board? there are plenty of G3 models, spanning different times in technological advancements.

If you have a g3 beige, I have a 4mb card available.

If you just need chip, you can snag them from cheap PC ATI Rage Pro video cards. The Apple 4MB cards are getting harder to find same with PC card SODIMMs.

I’m confused. If we’re talking Beige G3 onboard VRAM, then those use SGRAM with a QFP-100 footprint, whereas the KM416S1120DT is TSOP.

What machine are we actually talking about?

OK. What’s the issue, are you having graphics corruption?
