Kanga lcd questiom
Posted by: imactheknife on 2024-12-02 20:21:24
Recapped my Kanga and took the lcd apart. Very similar to the 3400c but doesn’t say sharp. I couldn’t find any caps like my 3400c on the display and they look different. So hoping it doesn’t have any caps hiding. Anyone with similar experience? The inverter board had same caps etc. first picture reference from macdat. Second it kanga display.

It's probably the Samsung LCD that you can also find on these sometimes. Model number should be LT121S4-105 or similar. No caps on that one.
See: http://www.macdat.net/macintosh/powerbook/general/powerbooklcdindex.html
I should add a note about that to the cap reference page.

Edit: nevermind, have one up already:

Ok, thanks for that. I really didn’t want to take foil and separate lcd from metal bracket. Pretty sure its a samsung. Have another kanga showing up today so will see if its the same or a sharp.
