Speaker Pop on Power Off
Posted by: jmacz on 2024-12-02 19:24:31 The on board internal speaker on my Quadra 800 makes a loud pop when I shut it down, I assume due to the voltage change on power off. Can't be good for the speaker I would think? Some of my other Macs also do this but much quieter than my Quadra 800. Is this normal for these older Macs or is this a sign I have a bad cap? All the caps on the Quadra 800 are tantalums and are the original caps still. Thought I'd ask first.
