Hi,
I've got an AppleCD 300i Plus, (Matsushita CR-503-K) in my Quadra 650 which works, but only mostly. It reads cds fine, and will eject the tray when there's a CD in it ok. But if I hit the tray button when the drive is empty, the tray sticks and I have to tap the left side of the tray to get it to continue opening.
I've taken it apart and looked at what's going on, and I _think_ it's just a loose belt. Does anybody know what a good source for these might be? Or can direct me to a how-to guide on measuring belts/gears so I can order a generic of the right type/size? (I'm in ELI5 territory here.) | Posted by: obsolete on 2024-12-02 09:55:29
