So a few days ago I sent the survey that is on the back of the old manuals. Does anyone know what will happen to it??

Lots of smiles and the American equivalent of, 'Gosh, look at this!'.
The younger generation might wonder what archaic medium it is and wonder in all sincerity why you just didn't let the OS send it in for you. You then have to explain that it will be while before you can get El Capitan onto your LC II.

I've been really tempted to send in some of my vintage "reply cards"... Like the one at the back of my IBM-branded Kings Quest, so I can get replacement disks.

It depends on whether mail forwarding is still taking place. Apple was at Mariani Avenue for most of the time our compacts were produced.
