| A/UX modern cross-compile toolchain (modern ELF Binutils and GCC) |
Posted by: uyjulian on 2024-11-03 22:55:36 I might as well put this here to see if there is any interest in it.
I've been working on a modern cross-compile toolchain for A/UX: https://github.com/uyjulian/aux_crosscompile_toolchain |

Posted by: elliotnunn on 2024-11-11 05:31:54 Hi Julian. I am very interested! My use case would be writing Virtio drivers for A/UX. How far along is this toolchain? Did you use Retro68 as a starting point? What can you tell us about the ECOFF format? Do you think it could easily produce a kernel module? |

How far along is this toolchain? Still needs work; see https://github.com/uyjulian/aux_crosscompile_toolchain/issues/1
Did you use Retro68 as a starting point? Nope
What can you tell us about the ECOFF format? Currently just doing what binutils implements
Do you think it could easily produce a kernel module? Untested, |
