It has a version 1.04-1 ROM. I've attached the dump.

OMG. So many crystal oscillators!

The video resolution and frequency is selected by the rotary switch on the slot. The card doesn't check the monitor connector resolution pins. In fact, it doesn't even care if a monitor is attached.

Here are all the modes:
1 640x480 @ 67 Hz
2 640x870 (80 dpi), 640x870 (72 dpi)
3 640x400 (PC-98)
4 640x480 @ 60 Hz VGA
5 640x400 PC-98, 640x480 VGA, 640x480 @ 67 Multisync. 1120x750 PC-98 High Res, 1024x750 PC-98 High Res, 800x600 Super VGA
6 640x400 PC-98, 640x480 VGA, 1120x750 PC-98 High Res, 1024x750 PC-98 High Res
7 800x600 @ 56 Hz Super VGA
8 1024x768 @ 60 Hz
9 800x600 @ 74 Hz 15" Color
A 1024x768 @ 75 Hz 19" Color1
B 1024x768 @ 75 Hz 19" Color2(75Hz)
C 1024x768 @ 75 Hz 19" Color2(75Hz)
D 640x480 @ 72 Hz, 800x600 @ 74 Hz, 1024x768 @ 60 Hz
E 640x480 @ 72 Hz, 800x600 @ 74 Hz, 1024x768 @ 60 Hz, 1152x870
F 832x624 @ 75Hz
Selection 5, 6, D, and E, show up in the monitors control panel for you to select between. Reboot required to change modes.
The video card has 1 MB of VRAM. It supports millions of colors in 640x480. It only supports 256 colors at higher resolutions. No "thousands" of colors.
I don't know if this has graphics acceleration, because I can't locate any drivers for it. Please let me know if you have drivers.
- David | Posted by: zigzagjoe on 2024-10-11 21:02:41 Definitely no acceleration on that card. Wonderful resolution support though! | Posted by: David Cook on 2024-10-12 09:50:55
Definitely no acceleration on that card.
Thank you for letting me know. I won't worry about trying to hunt down drivers. : ) | | 1 |
