Internal floppy drives not working on Mac SE
Posted by: Lord Refa on 2024-10-06 10:24:29 Hi all, I can't get the internal floppy drive to work, it has been rebuilt but will not read a disk. The external drive works just fine, but not the internal. I have two of these 800K drives and neither one will read, so I am guessing the internal FDC is not working with the drives, or either I have two bad drives, which seems suspect since all other drives I have worked on have been good. Thanks for your help!
Posted by: nathall on 2024-10-09 21:45:35 Swap in the drive from the external enclosure temporarily and see if it works internally. That will tell you if it’s the drives or the board.
