Posted by: Arbee on 2024-09-23 20:12:04 Just went up at Bitsavers. Lots of info on how to write PC DOS programs that use LocalTalk services.

Posted by: slipperygrey on 2024-09-25 08:55:12 Thanks for sharing! I happen to have one of these LocalTalk ISA cards by Apple, so this will come in handy one day when I pick up a compatible PC... |
Posted by: Arbee on 2024-09-25 18:13:22 Schematics and the driver are in the same directory, as well. The Apple-branded LocalTalk cards I gather are relatively rare. |
Posted by: shirsch on 2024-09-29 08:03:24 I have a handful of ISA LocalTalk boards along with a COPS LT-1. At one time there was a Linux driver for the COPS and one could run netatalk on that interface (although not very well). |
Posted by: twelvetone12 on 2024-09-29 10:11:19 The cops driver was just removed this year! I'm trying to get a trashtalk driver to interface netatalk to localtalk via USB but time has been a tyrant. I would be curious to try it with the original cops driver (but I imagine you need Isa slots?), tashtalk works very well. |
