| Macintosh II no video output |
Posted by: wagbox on 2024-09-06 16:51:15 I'm using a Macintosh II with a Multiscan 17 monitor. The cable is a VGA with a unimac db15 adapter to connect it to the Mac II. I am not getting any signal. Is this monitor too new, or is the video card dead? |
Posted by: croissantking on 2024-09-06 16:57:38 Probably a sync issue. The video card that shipped with the Macintosh II (The Toby card) doesn't support separate sync, and your CRT is probably expecting it. So either try a newer video card in the Macintosh II or use a screen that can accept composite sync or sync on green. |

Apple Multiscan 15AV - can't get it to work with a IIsi/IIci
For anyone else who might encounter this issue |

Yes, this is correct. I found this answer in your own thread of all places! 🙂 🙂 I had really good input on that thread from some of the most knowledgeable users here.
I ended up acquiring a Macintosh Video Card 670 (8•24 unaccelerated card) which does output separate sync and works fine with my 15AV. They’re fairly plentiful and affordable when they come up. |
