| Macintosh Classic II no boot |
Posted by: wagbox on 2024-09-04 16:44:30 I recapped my classic II's logic board and it now does the same thing as before (nothing, just the fan comes on which it does without the logic board installed anyway). I'm trying the dishwasher trick now as a last resort.
Do I need to recap the analog board for it to show any signs of life? |

Do I need to recap the analog board for it to show any signs of life? yes, recapping it would be strongly recommended |
Posted by: finkmac on 2024-09-04 19:07:49 if it's a mac classic 1 or 2 it should be recapped before anything else should be considered (within reason) |
Posted by: dochilli on 2024-09-05 00:33:57 Did you measure the voltages at the floppy port?
There are a lot of parts on classic AB that can be defect. Most often: DP3 and DP4 (1N4148), TDA4605, CNY17G, IRFBC40.
And I would recap the AB. |
