Rominator Issues on Mac plus

Posted by: namaman on 2024-09-02 15:04:27 I built a Rominator for my Mac plus. I have installed it and it works fine except I can't seem to re-flash the Rominator with it 'in system'. I'm using a BlueSCSI (I have done the termination diode mod) to load system 3.2 with finder 5 (disk image found on JDW's youtube video about flashing the Rominator). Unfortunately when I run the flashTool 1.6 and click on the 'select file' the system instantly crashes with error ID 20. If I try running the flash tool from another system (e.g. system 6) I can then click 'select file' without the system crashing and select the file I want to flash, and start the flash process, but I then get the following error: Error: Flash ID BBBF, BBB7 did not match any know device ID ...and thats as far as I can get. I have double checked my Rominator build and checked that all pins are making connection in the socket with my continuity meter, and I've double checked my connections to the 68000 CPU, and tried using booting with various systems. So I'm a bit lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
