Thx in advance I could be wring but I don't think its a cap issue if the mouse is working as well as a few keys.
Do you have another ADB KB you can try and use to see if that one works? I have a feeling the failure after the recap is just a coincidence.
Keep us posted. |
Posted by: robin-fo on 2024-08-27 07:30:21 Is it always the same keys? Then likely the keyboard will be the issue.. |
Posted by: bibilit on 2024-08-27 10:56:03 Probably a broken trace, one only is enough and can have this kind of behavior. |

Posted by: FerociousMAC on 2024-08-31 11:57:37 Hi guys & gals,
Finally had some time to work on this. I had the keyboard out if the case since I was going to recap it my self (haven't done). Once I reassembled it all the keys work now.
EDIT:
Uggh... 😩
I spoke too soon. |

-Reds don't work. Strange cause I was having issues with "R" but it's working now.
-Yellow unable to test.
-Green circle (top right) caps. Could these 30+ y/o things cause an issue?
-No issues with Number Pad.
Thx 🤠
EDIT
E and W are now working but have to press a bit hard on key. I swapped out serial cable but no change. 🤔 |
Posted by: desertrout on 2024-08-31 15:18:17 Wait a tick - ALL of the keys worked right after you reassembled everything? I wonder if you have some persistent corrosion along the chain somewhere; perhaps a liberal application of contact cleaner at all connectors is in order? |
