| Are Apple LaserWriters come to an end? |
Posted by: bengi3 on 2024-08-24 04:49:02 It seems that all sources of wiper blades for the toner cartridges are old stock and it is impossible to fix.
Also toner cartridges are old stock.
Have all b/w laser Apple printers come to the end of their lifespan?
Shall I get rid of my 12/640 and NTR? |
Posted by: joshc on 2024-08-24 05:36:56 Don't most (all?) of them use HP or Canon parts? And even if the toners are old stock, shouldn't they mostly still be OK to use? (I don't know for certain, hence why I am asking). |
Posted by: LaPorta on 2024-08-24 06:12:19 Wouldn’t it be “are apple LaserWriters coming to an end”, or “have apple LaserWriters come to an end”? |
Posted by: finkmac on 2024-08-24 07:01:11 Yeah they’re come to an end. Sorry 🙁 |
Posted by: beachycove on 2024-08-24 10:13:48 I have read that heat reforming of an old wiper blade is possible, the point being simply to increase tension. |

(I don't know for certain, hence why I am asking). the wiper blades after 20/30 years harden and no longer wipe the drum. all cartridges have bad wipers and even the replacement wipers are bad.
and yes are coming to an end |
Posted by: LaPorta on 2024-08-24 14:09:25 I’m sure there must be replacements. |
