Connector for LC burn-in connector

There's not a huge amount that's useful on the LC burnin connector. However, if you do want to interface with it, the catchily named EDAC 307-044-520-202 will do you.

You will need to hacksaw or dremel off one end of the connector, so that it is open at one end. The end result will look somewhat like this.

The closed end can then match up with the speaker end of the logic board, and the connector will come most of the way along the board, and if you've cut it in the right place, will just avoid fouling the hard disc power connector.

Other suitable connectors doubtless exist; just the EDAC catalogue alone is enormous. However, this one appeared to be in stock in all my local distributors, so it at least has the benefit of being available.

Always been curious about these test points! Are they present across all of the LC range, or just the first one?

That's well played! Can't wait to see the rest

I think it's still there on the 475 (though that's from memory, I may be wrong). I don't know about after that.

This is cool!

Only the LC I and LC II have this edge connector. The III and 475 do not have it.

oh, I am misremembering then. 🙂

What can you do with it?

Not very much. It's got access to one of the serial ports, the SCSI BSY signal, and the voltage lines. It's pretty much to get into techstep mode, I think.
