I understand there are some common problems that affect the longevity of the systems. To that end I opened the machine up but everything looks clean. All caps are in shape w no leaking.
Are there known capacitors I should replace anyway?
This is the first and only mac I've owned so assume I have no history of the machines or philosophy of design.
Thanks

Maybe check PSU/PAV voltages when on to confirm things look OK. Stubborn startup issues and crashes will indicate failing caps. A lot of rev a-b iMacs it’s the flybacks going now too, usually obvious though with random noises and jolts in normal use. | | 1 |
