Posted by: Lucretius on 2024-07-21 13:56:18I have one of these with the 40GB HDD, and I'm wondering if there is a way to transfer all the data to another iBook. My plan is to remove the HDD and install an mSATA with a 2.5" enclosure ( which I've done several times ), and it would be nice if I could just be sure all the original data is safely tucked-away before I start. I recall using a Firewire cable to do something like this, years ago, but wanted to hear from an Expert the best way to do it this time. THANKS!
Technical specifications for the iBook G4/1.33 12-Inch (Mid-2005 - Op). Dates sold, processor type, memory info, hard drive details, price and more.

According to the infos you have a firewire port, so you can use target disk mode with it and another mac.
Yup - just image the drive then restore the image to the other iBook. Works great usually
