| Quest: Wacom support in BasiliskII |
Posted by: gingerbeardman on 2024-07-15 18:42:02 I'm trying to do the leg work so that Wacom support can be added to BasiliskII and so native macOS and iPadOS pressure sensitive support can be passed through to the emulator.
Can anybody help with any of the following?
- Early Wacom SDK (~2.x would be lovely)
- Wacom driver inner workings
Any thoughts appreciated. |
Posted by: IPalindromeI on 2024-07-15 19:45:15 I was looking into some older serial Wacom stuff for Next - I noticed that they implement other protocols (as an option?), such as the Calcomp/SummaSketch MM series (which seemed Hayes Smartmodem like, one or two char commands, some params, CR terminated) and a UIOF/Microgrid one that looks like it could overrlayed onto a VT-style command stream (ESC prefixes). |

Posted by: Arbee on 2024-07-16 10:42:50 Have you checked tashtari's ADB protocol reverse-engineering on Github? I think there's at least one tablet on there.
We have a Lua script now for MAME that forces that MacOS cursor to be where the "native" one is that works well, but obviously in-OS support would be cleaner. |

I'm thinking I'll start by disassembling the very small Wacom plugin that came with Deneba Canvas. |
