I just got a Macintosh G4 MDD. It wont start at all, just givning a ledlight that dimms off when releasing the power button. No light on the board when connected to mains. I’ve changed the cmos battery and tryed a PMU reset. Still nothing. But I suspect the lack of +/- 12v is the culprit here. I did not have it plugged in to the board when I took messurments but I got all the other readings from 25v, 5v (bit low) and 3v.
I have the psu opened and plan to make a recap but can bad caps totalt remove the 12v rail? | | 1 |
