1.44meg images on 800k machines.

Hi

I'm finishing up a 6.0.8 installation for my SE.

One thing I miss from system 7+ is Disk Copy 6, and the ability to create 400k, 800k and 1.44meg images.

I have found a nice little program called MountImage:

It will work great with DC42 images, but it won't work at all with 400k and 800k disks that are not DC42 images and of course it won't work with 1.44meg images. I think there was once a DC42 converter in the wild... But it still won't support 1.44meg images!

Maybe the software's not good enough, is there a good alternative to Disk Copy 6 on System 6?

PS: Slightly off topic, but I can't remember the name of the program that lets you create your own Apple Menu folder for System 6.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks!

DiskDup+ Pro will let you do this but every time I launch the program, it tells me the application has quit unexpectedly (out of application memory).

How can I fix this?

Shrinkwrap might be good, except the 2.0 version requires system 7.  Maybe there's an older version out there somewhere?  I didn't see any with some quick googling, but I didn't spend much time with it.

I too was thinking about Shrinkwrap but I can't source the 1.x version either...

Edit: macgui.com has version 1.3 testing it right now.

Nope, Shrinkwrap 1.3.1 requires 7 and up! Dang it.
