| Analog board RIFA Replacement Not Working |
Posted by: DontGetHit on 2024-04-17 19:11:23 Hello,
I just replaced the C38 RIFA cap on my 512K analog board. This is the replacement I got https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/kemet/PME271M610MR04/9685182
When I put the machine back together and turned it on, the only video I got was a flashing blip in the middle of the screen. From I did completely remove the analog board so I guess I might have put something back together wrong? As for the cap, from what I could see online it is not polarized so that means I couldn't have put it in backwards or something.
I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue and knows what is going on. It was working perfectly before the replacement.
Edit: I should clarify that computer bongs and there is no smell or strange noise or anything. |

Did you forget the deflection coil connector? It would appear I did haha. I feel dumb. This is the first time I have ever done analog board stuff so I haven't gotten the hang of it. |
